NEW SHOES!

I had an unexpected 4 day weekend due to standardized testing so naturally, I spent part of my time shopping, hanging out with friends, but mostly sitting at home watching YouTube videos, catching up on much needed rest, and writing up a few blogposts (I currently have the next 3 posts planned out).

I have been thinking of getting Birkenstocks since last summer but since they can be pretty pricey, I didn't know if it was worth saving up all my money just to get a pair. So I fell in love with these gorgeous golden Birkenstock dupes from TopShop as soon as I laid my eyes on them because
 1) I love love love gold accessories. (Are shoes considered accessories?)
 2) open toed shoes that aren't flip flops!
I only have one or two pairs of sandals in my closet right now and I am so happy to add these to my collection!! These were also SUPER cheap since I was shopping at Nordstrom Rack. I've only worn these once and they're pretty comfy but I wouldn't recommend walking long distances in these, or any sandals for that matter.

Sperry's. Oh Sperry's. I have worn Sperry boat shoes since 7th grade and since then, I have always had at least 2 pairs of Sperry's in my wardrobe. These shoes are PERFECT for me because they add a little pep to your outfit and are so easy to slip on and off; no sitting down to tie your shoes, no need for one of those shoe horns... They're like moccasins for the summertime! I currently have a pair of tan leather Serry's, pastel striped ones, and some red Sperry sneakers but this is my first one color all over pair. These are going to make many appearances in future OOTD's.

This may be a little TMI but whenever I wore Sperry's, I never wore socks, so my shoes would not smell so great and I never got around to fixing the shoe stench problem but this weekend I had time to go out and get these little shoe deodorizers from Sports Authority & a bunch of no show socks to keep my shoes smelling nice and fresh. Basically, what you do with these cute little things, is throw them into your stanky shoes and it works its magic. It's just a little perfume ball basically.

See you next week!

P.S. If anyone cares, the sandals are size 6.5 and Sperry's are size 7

DONUTS & PINEAPPLES

The hair color is already fading... WHY?!? When school is over in a few months I'm gonna go back into a different salon to re-color and maybe add a few highlights. On another note, OOTD! This is the outfit I wore to school on either Thursday or Friday (without the sunnies because I left those at home) because it was like 80 degrees and I was in a really summery mood and I have recently been informed that I only have 7 WEEKS of school left so I am gettin' those summer vibes on! Gotta power through these last few weeks, get those A's and start SAT prep right after the last school bell rings!!!! jk. But I really am looking forward to summer because these spring allergies are killing me! Also no school so I can catch up on watching YouTube videos or I could make some of my own and hop onto that YouTube bandwagon again... we'll see! I hope you are having a wonderful day! Here are pictures of my outfit and vaguely brown hair.

NEW HAIR!

Hello! I have been wanting to dye my hair for such a LOOONG time and the day has finally come! I really wanted to go lighter with my hair this spring/summer and after months and months of convincing, my parents finally let me dye my hair :))))) We agreed that the color should stay as natural as possible so I decided to balayage my hair a subtle chestnut brown color. When in artificial lighting or in the shade you can barely tell I changed the color at all. However, in the sun it appears to be a warm reddish brown color. I am really loving shoulder length hair. It requires very little maintenance even with my crazy, frizzy,  non-traditional Asian hair.  I had this haircut like 2 summers ago and I loved it because no more tangles and less frizz with the proper hair styling technique. I might do another blog post on styling later... So without further ado, here are a few pics! (Guys, we actually got a few pretty cool candids if I do say so myself. Still so many awkward photos though) lol. I love how Toto is always popping up in these. Let's just throw in some outfit details for you.

MINI SPRING OOTW (two days)

Hey guys.... it's been super warm for the past few days and I am not complaining about that! I only took pictures of two of my outfits this week b/c I thought they were pretty cute :) It's pretty hard to wake up at 7 and put together cute outfits while I'm in zombie mode but ever so often I wake up feeling happy and refreshed and have the motivation to build a cute lil' outfit. This week is spring break for me so I will be posting more often these next few days. On another note, I AM GETTING MY HAIR DYED SOON! I called the hair salon and booked an appointment for a cut and color (goodbye virgin hair). I am most likely going to film the process of going to the hair salon getting my hair all done up and whatnot so I'll leave that up here in the next blogpost. Back onto the topic of clothing... I will now leave you with a few pictures of me attempting to be "artsy". Sorry for the awkwardness. lol.
